Thinking of inking? We asked vegan
tattoo artist Brian Wilson for the lowdown on cruelty-free commitment through
body art.
Which is why we asked Brian Wilson of Portland-based vegan tattoo shop Scapegoat Tattoo Co. for the scoop on how to
prepare for your animal-friendly and person-friendly ink experience. A vegan of
13 years and a tattoo artist for 17, Wilson has seen (and tattooed) it all, and
knows the ins and outs of vegan tattoo care better than virtually anyone.
If you have a fresh new vegan tattoo you would like to share with you
friends and fellow vegans then feel free to send them in to vegantattoos at
gmail dot com.Andrea says he is planing on getting many other tattoos in the future and asked for your help with ideas for animal rights themed tattoos so feel free to leave suggestions in the comments for him!
Don’t worry Andrea, we think you are totally on the right track with this lovely first tattoo!
Thanks for sending it in and most importantly thanks for being vegan!
Our last well armed vegans are a dynamic duo who got essentially matching tattoos at Scapegoat Tattoo in Portland, OR.
James says “Hey there, I’m the guy Brian Wilson submitted with the 1/4 sleeve Sea Shepherd tattoo. Before that one, my girlfriend and I got “matching” tattoos saying “vegan”, also at Scapegoat.” Thanks a bunch for sending this awesome double feature and most importantly thanks for being vegan!
